My spikes trigger and hammer are nickel boron plated:). I didn't mean that I was going to run the gun dry...simply like is self lubricating properties and extremely hard finish!

Yeah I got the magpull sights simply cause they cost me $116 for the set....if I planned on actually using them often I'd get a better set.

Later on I'd like to change the gas system to a piston setup but that isn't the priority yet...

Going to pick up and aimpoint for this rifle...I like the idea of 50,000 hours of battery life lol!

WOW, that's going to look awesome man, how much do you think you will end up spending for that total?

Last week I shot 1000+ rounds, was tons of fun, prolly going to be doing it again this weekend...I can't stop LOL plus winter is setting in and I want to shoot more before it hits.

i'm picking up a Taurus 1911 this weekend from one of my freinds. He got laid off and nneds the money.

I've been interested in seeing what they are like. I've been daily carrying a PT-945 since 1997 and it's about due for retirement. I'm probably going to go with a Kimber 1911, but I'd still like to see what you have to say about it.

It seems to be a nice gun. He put some Kimber parts on it already (sights, acessory rail, and grip). I'm also getting a couple extra clips and a holster for it as well. I couldnt pass up the deal. maybe I'll carry this instead of the Walther.

a wise guh eh? jk.

Nope...there is an obvious difference between the two;-)

"clips" simply hold ammo in a uniform way to be inserted into a firearm that does not have a removable magazine... Such as the glorious M1 garand...

"magazine" is a fully enclosed, removable ammo feed device which is responsible for the auto loading on firearms.

You can use stripper clips to load some magazines such as a 20 round m16 mag...

It may seem petty to some clip/magazine....but would you correct me if I called your turbo a super charger? End results are pretty much the same but they are totally different...

I have one of the early (non front light / tacticool rail) versions.

I absolutely love it. Accepts GI mags too. For fit and finish - and performance - I would put it up against any $1200-1500 1911 any day on the race course.

Also, for any of you looking, I have a custom Savage Model 10 / Model 16 bolt action rifle for sale in 308. CHEAP. It needs to leave (like yesterday).

PM or email me.

Put 100 rounds of ball (50 115gr wolf and 50 115gr American Eagle) along with 10 Hornady 115gr Critical Defense today. The distance was around 25', grouping was 2". Absolutely happy in my purchase decision. The scary part was that the Wolf grouped better than the AE.

Wolf is generally good plinking ammo...it's very dirty but it's pretty consistant.

Whatever you do just don't shoot non jacketed bullets from a factory glock barrel.
