Rock River Arms are known for having tighter tolerances, so that may have been the issue. Couldn't tell you for sure, because after that first time I've always snipped the spring abit.

I forgot to mention a handgun I fell in love with.

A Walther P99. The one I fired was a 9mm variant. The gun fit me very well(I have HUGE hands). Firing off quick bursts was very easy. Its controllable(moreso than our other 9mm handguns) and its very rugged.

I reccomend it

9mms are weak. I've fired lots of rounds out of the Beretta M9 9mm and I'm a solid shot with it (I got compliments), but it's nothing special at all. There have been many complaints that when used in combat, it isn't effective enough. In other words, you have to shoot your enemy at least two or three times to keep him down.

That said, they're still fun to shoot.

anybody know where i can get some 7.62x54r bullets?
I've heard many good things about Wolf's ammunition in this caliber. Some people go surplus and are satisfied - some like to reload their own, especially those with genuine Izmash Dragunovs.
You firing one of those? Or an older Nagant?

i've got no problems plinking with surplus, but when hunting i'm going to have to find some quality fmj or maybe hollow point stuff and i think wolf will be the way i go.

The problem with 9mm in combat is that it's ball ammunition. That .355 size stays that big, no expansion. Even 45acp suck in ball. A nice gold dot, golden spear, HST, etc. bullet in 9mm will expand to .6X sizes.

I'd much rather have a 9mm with a decent bullet than a fmj 45.
