The reason I don't want to go with the 45 is the size. The .45 is 5oz. heavier, the barrel length is .25" longer, and the gun as a whole is .5" longer. I have nothing against the caliber itself. People have asked me, "What is better, .40, or .45?" I say, "What would you rather get hit by, a Pinto doing 80mph, or a Cadillac doing 55mph?" Your gonna get messed up either way.

i think i might get a savage model 93
.17 HMR with a left hand action and bull barrel in the near future. if i can wait til my birthday and get a few bucks more, i might look into something in .22-250.
also needed some advice on concealed carry.
i've heard the taurus 24/7 makes a good carry, but haven't had the opportunity to shoot many brands. some light trigger work might be in order, but my big question is: does anyone make a good carry weapon set up lefty? i can't for the life of me find one
i think i might get a savage model 93
