I think I am going to go with the M+P40. Pointing the weapon, like you mentioned Adjuster, just feels better than any of the other guns I tried out. And that is very important. Plus, the break I get by being a law enforcement member is pretty good too. The gun, three 15 round clips, and night sights for $478. Retail is $728 with night sights. I would love to use the gun I've had since I was 21, (S&W model 4013) but it is considered a compact because of the single stack clip.

Do they have that gun chambered in 45 auto?

What kind of LEO are you?

I am a police officer with the local PD. Still a rookie, but am loving it so far.

They do offer it in a 45. It is the M+P45. 10+1Rd. Mag.

The reason I don't want to go with the 45 is the size. The .45 is 5oz. heavier, the barrel length is .25" longer, and the gun as a whole is .5" longer. I have nothing against the caliber itself. People have asked me, "What is better, .40, or .45?" I say, "What would you rather get hit by, a Pinto doing 80mph, or a Cadillac doing 55mph?" Your gonna get messed up either way.

not really...just going to see what they got and might buy something if I got enough cash. My work been cutting back on hours so not good(unless someone wants to spot me an advance on a bonus check and paycheck I'll be getting next week.

Hey MDC, how's their selections up there?

Selection is an understatment.

They have every thing up there from one shot pea shooters to anti aircraft guns.

dropping in again,

i think i might get a savage model 93 :) .17 HMR with a left hand action and bull barrel in the near future. if i can wait til my birthday and get a few bucks more, i might look into something in .22-250.

also needed some advice on concealed carry.

i've heard the taurus 24/7 makes a good carry, but haven't had the opportunity to shoot many brands. some light trigger work might be in order, but my big question is: does anyone make a good carry weapon set up lefty? i can't for the life of me find one

good idea to figure what caliber you want first, then work down the list....

Yup, he does... Unless you're ultra ultra tight on budget and/or a really small person, I think you be happy with a 45 auto. about what do you look like?
