I hate that goddamned hose, and the one on the back of the head as well.

Which hose would that be? 87245-1B262? Is that the one that goes from that wrap around hard pipe to the firewall? If not I need to know which one so I can replace it before I install my engine.

i have replaced mine with a 90deg hose that didn't reduce to the smaller diameter and it doesn't seal well because of it.

with the silicone has any one found one that has the right diameters?

did you all just crank down on it?

Err... that looks like something other than a 7M, which is the engine with the problem... Now, if you have some magical method of mounting the JZ part on a 7M, we'd be all over it, however, that's not going to happen.

AFAIK any silicone hose with a 3/4" inner diameter will work as long as its at a right angle...some links were posted earlier. 3/4" ID on a silicone hose is the same as a 3/4" ID on a rubber hose.

Sorry dude, reading your post I thought you were suggesting we should upgrade to the JZ equipment.

I changed one of those once. One of my old 7MGE's, a dark blue 87. I don't remember it being difficult. I probably just pulled the distributor out of the way and had room to work.
