I absolutely love this site for DSM's and was thinking... why dont we do something like this for the MkIII ? It wouldnt be hard, it would just take some time .. and in the end, every noob question could be simply answered with a link to the site.

If you look at the link I posted, You can see the setup of the site, and how easy it makes alot of things.

Thier would be a Index (all links) with a standard engine bay pic, then a closer up pic of the part in question, and any nearby parts it is associated with. Included would be information about the part, IE: What it does, why its needed, typical problems with it, maintenance info, trouble shooting, etc.

This would help so many of us, myself included.

You ask yourself.. "Is my tps acting up?" then you go to the site, find the tps, learn about it, find out how to test it, and set it, and problem solved :D

Who would be up for doing this? Does anyone have a really clean, mostly stock 7mgte? Also we could do a seperate page of N/A only items, or items on the N/A that act differently then GTE items. Whoever volunteered to have their car used would need a good digital camera.

Also, does anyone have any webspace that could be used? And people could volunteer to write up the info about various pieces, and have them sent to a few select people (IJ, Doward, JJ, and many others) who would revise them and make any corrections.

Anyone up for this idea? I'd definately help out.

Here is the email to send photos and information too: suprainfo@douglasdowd.com

My supra is a 7mge at this point, and I feel their are more 7mgte's out thier, so we'd need someone else for that. I'd help out as much as possible with write-ups, etc. Itd be great to help me learn more about these cars. All the specific forum experts (electronics, turbo, piggyback, etc) could be the ones revising any write-up to do with their category.

So Volunteers Needed:

Webspace (Has some we could use)

Owner of a clean, stock, 7mgte, who has a good digi Cam. I could take any pictures need of an N/A.

Revisors for write-ups. IJ, JJ, Doward, you guys interested? Supracentral? Any others?

Where does the dot for the bhg go?

Erm.. Im not sure hehe. I figured it would be easier to do away with the picture search, and keep it index only, with pictures for each index link.

Hey now, I dont want to do this by myself lol. I just simply had the idea. I just figured we could set something up, like make a list of topics people have written up, and specify who to send what to for revisions. And have whoever volunteers to take all the pictures and upload them. Maybe mike perhaps? heh. Would save the trouble of sending them.

And mike is.. supracentral?

Also, once its up, everyone could go proof read it, try to catch errors, etc.

If the DSMs get one, we should! lol

Lol dam you dam you. You live in Denver? My dad is moving thier within a month or so and I'm going to go visit him, if I bring my supra up we'll have to meet up.

Moving on though, lets try to get this off the ground. Its more user friendly than the TRSM, and if needed you can always fall back on the TRSM, but this helps out those noobs like me ya know :)

And we can always add sections, such as a Photo guide to a general NA-T conversion, Tranny swap guide, etc etc etc

It'd be nice if the owner of the online TSRM would let us cross link with his site... or let us use his site for source materials.

Indeed it would, we should contact him, and see if he'll let us pull information from it, if properly noted, and if we put a big link to it from our site.

I only posted the link so people could see what I meant by a photodictionary. It wasnt meant to educate us all about DSM's :p

But yes, vfaq.com is a site for DSMers

I have plenty of webspace I would be happy to donate. I can also do any of the web design/programming needed.

This would be a great tool - (for me especially, lol). The TSRM has some glaring weaknesses, especially the illustrations.

I can start building the site, just need to have pics and content sent to me.
