If I were to list the unmolested original parts on my car, the list would be really damned short. All I can think of off the top of my head is a few window moldings, rear subframe, and some of the glass. Replaced a bunch of the rubber bumpers for the hood. Waxed the hood, roof, and front fenders, then ran out of time because it decided to rain.
Still waiting for the rain to stop long enough to finish the wax job. In the meanwhile...
Took these off:
Ground them down with a wire wheel, then sanded them, and sent them off the be painted again. When they came back, I decided to put on some more of the parts that have warmed up on the bits bin shelf for long enough.
Throttle cable bracket and wind shield wiper arms:
Even picked up new from the dealer (thanks Mark!) nuts for the wiper arms:
And new blades, too, of course.

Mine look horrible, i didnt know they could be taken off o.0. How did u do that lol. I wanna fix mine up as well

It's pretty simple... pull the three nuts, take off the ring. Just don't DRIVE it that way, bad things (tm) will happen!

Yes, there is. Pull on 'em like you hate 'em. The part where the screw goes in mushrooms out when they are installed, so it is actually pretty hard to pull them back out.Grandavi;1831018 said:

Among other reasons, the windshield glass in this car is the original factory glass, and it's in pretty bad shape - pitted in a lot of spots. I've polished glass in the past, but the results just aren't as good as new glass... and everything else on this car is new, why go halfway on the glass?

I know a guy who got his chevy glass posished for his lunch box and it was perfect like brand new (rock chips are diffrent thou)

Mihir picked up an aftermarket windshield from Broco over here, I got a look at it at the ImportMeet show we just went to, and it's fantastic. That's what I'm going to go for.
And $1000? Seriously? Even if so, consider that you've got more than that in just AN fittings.

I have new window trim already, sitting on the shelf waiting. Bought it all - including new clips - a while back.
Why not buy stateside for you windshield? It's only about $200 installed down here for a new windshield. A lot of glass places carry this simple universal windshield trim that's super cheap but looks good.
