ok, listen closely, the very very VERY first thing you NEED to do to this car is RETORQUE YOUR SUBFRAME BOLTS!

They're supposed to be done something like every 50K miles, but they're NEVER done and they get VERY loose! The supra is a very solid car, but that seems to be a weak point (well, if people do the schedules maintenance it's not...)
...

Dude- I never heard that before. Of course, I only have 296,000 miles on my car, so I'm sure they're fine....:naughty: But now I gotta go outside and check them!

They're fairly scarce around here. I know of about a dozen.... this includes sightings while in traffic. There may be a bunch of them hidden somewhere but I haven't found them. ;)

Apparently there isn't a huge selection of Supras around the denver area...

Seriously.

If anyone can find a cleaner mkiii for less than 3 grand within 200 miles of me, please, by all means write me messages on how I misspent my money. I'd buy it and give you a finders fee of a few hundred bucks.

You california kids are oh-so-pleasantly spoiled.

Pics of it coming tomorrow if i get a chance. Sorry, I've been incredibly busy.

*edit, I've been looking for a mkiii for about 8 months now and this is the second cleanest I've seen for under 5k. The other was 3700 and was the first mkiii i drove. I figure for 700, i can do half a good bhg repair, including machining. ;)

One of these days I'm going to have to go to the Colorado Dept. of Revenue and hound them for a registration count.

Busy? With the car? Now you're a REAL member of the Supra community. Get used to it, it never ends... if it does, it's only because you're slacking. :evil2:

Suprarx7nut,

The mileage is very high but the car looks very nice and well taken care of; especially the interior. If the engine runs smooth and doesn't smoke and the car doesn't shake or shimmy when driving then the mileage doesn't mean all that much. The fact that it has had a limited number of owners also implies it is agood car. Enjpy.

Exactly what I thought. Drives excellent, at least as far as I can tell. I need to have CRE drive it and give me a Supra owner's opinion. I'm such a noob. :p

Well the engine bay is what I was worried about... :) That should get cleaned tonight as well.

Took the targa off and drove for about an hour today and HOLY cow what a difference it makes in the body's feel. Not nearly as solid, but very enjoyable.
