i was always a fan of LP.. ive been waiting for some new material... sounds good, glad they arent another sellout band. they kept their sound. And all the haters out there, if ya dont like it why bother? im sure the people who listen to lp listen to other stuff too(I enjoy almost all music), and dislike some of the music you like. To each their own.

Sounds pretty good, although I don't know about some of the screaming. I've bought and liked their 3 mainstream albums so far (Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora), so there is a good chance I'll like their next one too. :)

To each their own.

How can you say that a radio band isn't a sellout band?

To your second sentence there, I can't agree with you more. I just happen to be a very passionate person about music and I'm very opinionated when it comes to it. If I see something that I feel is incorrect, I'll say something about it.

Above all else, if the musicians writing and playing the music truly have an emotional attachment to it, then that's what counts. If anybody else happens to like it, great, but I don't think that should be the motivation. That is the motivation I see from such bands as Linkin Park. Call me ignorant, I don't care.

i think linkin park actually likes to write their music and perform it well.i mean, they sound the same live as they do on cd (unlike some bands) I think its really music like trance, some rap (not what it started out as buit what it is now), and techno is really whenartists want to make a quick buck and not bother actualyl write music.

Cryo, I think you're missing my point a little bit. Linkin Park is all over the radio, correct?

is dude still with them..the rapper/singer i dont know theyre names cept chester, but the kid who started fort minor?

Mike Shinoda, and damn anyone callin LP sellouts. They fought that statement over and over and over, constantly ridiculed for it, proving time and time again they arnt. They took interviewers into studios and showed step by step how a song was written by them, how many times they have re-written it. Emotional attachments? Chester has had one fucked up childhood, more than enough to push a thousand of these albums with his anger.

On the fort minor CD, every song is an individual statement from Mike, all hitting home to him. Listen to the track Kenji, its about his grandfather who was japanese being put into an interment camp. Its a great song.

Just because alot of idiots like a band doesnt make them sellouts. LP is still doing what they love, regardless of who likes it. Now take Papa Raoch, THEY sold out, they changed their sound since the first CD, and always do now, with each new CD. Just because someone becomes popular doesnt make them a sellout band. CHanging your image and your sound due to what the current mainstream is so that you sell more records, THATS selling out. Linkin Park made it very clear they like to experiment, my friends and I also experiment with out music, we all have different tastes of music that blends somewhere in the middle, one band we all agree on is LP.

We love trance, hip hop, rock, metalcore, and various other styles, it all collaborates into one tricky ass sound when we get together and have fun with music, thats EXACTLY what LP does, so we can relate. LP Tries shit, but there overall message and sound remainds constant, prove to me otherwise.
