The status right now is that I am waiting to save up 1000 to get it back.

I am pretty much along the same train of thought as frank rizzo. As long as the rebuoilt motor rebuilt tranny and torsen lsd are still there........its worth it to me to get it back. I haven't had anytime for anything lately though so I haven't even seen it.

Soooooo I went and saw the car today. Finally. The intercooler piping and and blow off vavle were stolen. And it stopped running because the timing belt tnesioner broke. I hope everything is fine with motor. To the best of my knowledge its non interferance so you can free spin with no problems.....right? Anyway I have 3 options (I'm paying 1000 to get it back) I'm either going to part it out, fix it with the 7m, or swap my 2jz in. Any suggestions comments?

That was a possibilty. The intercooler piping I did myself the first time so I can do it again. They took the piping for the blowoff valve I'm sure. The big thing to keep on mind I think is the timing belt coming off. If the motors no good it will cost a lot to fix. I have spent so much time and money on it I might not be able to do another motor if the valves or the pistons hit anything....

Unless you're running huge cams or have had heaps taken off the head and deck with a thin HG our engines are non interference so losing a cam belt isn't fatal.

Yeah I doubt the motor is damaged because of broken timing belt tensioner unless they drained all your coolent/oil out and ran it with out them, then I can see the motor not being in good health...

ij thank you soooo much. i acutually tried sending you a pm to this thread im really glad yo read it instead. the motor had weisco piston a metal headgasket and valve work. stock cams thank god.

thanks again. i look forward to semi staring over again.

i am going to try and get it finished for the last couple drivable monthes. this winter depending on many factors i may or may not sell the motor (if it checks out ok) and swap in my 2j. only time will tell that.

i got it back today. after i went and saw it on saturday of last week the shop it was at took t upon themselves to steal as much shit as possible off the car. i called my lawyer and i m pressing theft charges against them because i have proof the parts were there. so i have to do that next week. anyway heres how i got it back after 2monthes.

ripped pins out of sensor

slipped timing

stolen a pillar gauges

the tensioner that grenaded

thats horrable that a shop would do that I would be pissed! At least she looks complete cosmetically all your missing is a few misc engine parts, at least its some what complete.

This wasn't an actual "shop". It was the buisness that's job is police tows. That's includes recovery of stolen vechicles. They stole most of the missing parts while they were susposed to be protecting and storing the car. I have pressed theft charges and a lawyer is looking it sueing for the money for the parts and lobor for installing them....that's all I want nothing more nothing less the replacement of wht is mine.

I threw on the new timing belt tensioner and the new timing. She started right up. As much bullshit as this build has been I wouldn't give it up for anything.
