Wow, it's turning out really well. I'm impressed, a lot of improvement for the $$$. Just goes to show that big bucks aren't everything. Lots of time and thought put into everything which I can appreciate.

Uhh, since I can touch it and my fingers don't go through it, I assume it's a real AFPR. It's not an Aeromotive, but yeah certainly a knockoff. I bought it from a guy on a local forum who got it with his turbo kit from XS I think. My ex, rabidchimp, seems to think it'll work just fine so I trust it. More so than I do a stock 25 year old one.

Car doesn't need ITBs and it is a high comp 6M, around 10:1 w/ 230psi in every cylinder.

Cool, I didn't realize the comp was up that high! I guess going ITB would go against your goals, so keep doin what you're doin. It's working... lol

Thanks! I repositioned the LED strips so they wouldn't have the horrible glare anymore.

Various stages of progression....

Well, months later the cluster is starting to annoy me. The paint on the needles has thrown my speedo about 5mph off, if I floor the car... at 85mph it will spazz out and jump wildly between 100 and 80. The tach is reading about 300 rpm lower than it should, all other gauges work fine.

The LEDs are also pissing me off. I LOVE the color but they're WAY too sensitive. It's to the point now that if I hit a harsh bump the whole cluster will go dark because of one sensitive bulb, and I already have another bulb out. Getting tired of taking the damn cluster out, so I'll have to go back to the stock one to get some sense of accuracy back.

Random night pics I took of the car last night...

Actually, those are "Super White" LEDs for parking lights but the camera always makes them look blue.

Lookin awesome tanya, I liked the final result with the dash, but didn't know LEDs where that damn sensitive. I was going to replace mine to match my greedy gauges, but now I dunno. Still love the car, one day I'll find me a fixer upper MKII...(like how I said MKII and not "I wanna MKIV") LOL
