Call me crazy but here is my plan....

I have 2 supras (both originally turbo models) with no engines one is mainly for parts and the other one I am spending money and collecting parts for my major build....... But my 600 dollar daily driver has run its last so I figure my best option for a "reliable"ish vehicle is to get one of the supras on the road

I am getting a n/a off someone thats doing a swap tomorrow and gonna attempt to get it running this weekend I have been looking at a bunch of n/a-t threads and it would seem that going backwards will be a simple task

wish me luck as I dive in head first lol I will be posting pics and I am sure I will be asking questions

Ok got the engine.... No exhaust manifold no intake before the y pipe

I was maft pro running map sensor so I might as well reinstall that being that I don't have a maf sensor

now I am thinking if I setup it just like turbo I have everything for it and if I run minimum boost it should hold right?

Will check tomorrow to see if it has arb head studs and whatnot but if it appears to be completely stock then as long as I remove the wastgate it shouldn't have any problems at all....

Any input at this point would be appreciated

Don't need to remove the wastegate. Just don't boost it if you need it to last as long as possible.

Ok what am I missing here? I thought that the turbo and na blocks were identical besides oil squirters compression ratio ect....

But I am starting to have problems
No oil holes for the turbo for starters.......

How am I supposed to do this? Any ideas or tricks?

For comparison here is a spare turbo block I have lying around

And here is the na block

Ya know I remembered I have a cx racing turbo and I think I finally figured out how it's meant to be used:p

I will gut it and that way it won't need oil
:-D
I will grab it tomorrow and We will see

Lol thanks will read through those ones also, I have been reading a lot so far and putting a na in a gte car seemed like it was gonna be super straight forward

I have a collection of parts just waiting on a bit more cash for my major build (gonna jump in with both feet this time)
I figured instead of dropping $1500 to get the daily running again. I would swap this engine in for the time being and drive the sup all n/a till the gte is built instead of rushing the project or postponing it further

I have done reading, but have no experience with a NA-T build on a 7M. From what I understand, if your running a CT26 you will need an to build the oil lines.
You will also have to install the second knock sensor to use a 7MGTE ECU to time it correctly. (I think its just drilling/tapping but not certain as I have never done it)
I have only talked to one person who had a NA-T.. he said it pulled insanely hard, however.. it didn't last long.. lol.

Good luck with this, I know a lot end up just going with a swap because in the end its less headache and potentially cheaper. Be interesting to see if you succeed.. I have always wanted to ride in a NA-T 7M car.

I guess I should have been more clear I actually wanna do a quick cheap get it running swap lol not a gte to na-t swap gonna use gte electronics, intake
and due to wanting to keep it cheap, turbo exhaust
But thats just because I have extra parts I wouldn't even put a turbo on it if I had a na exhaust system

Oh yeah its missing a knock sensor I noticed that.... Those just need to thread in a little way right? Doable without taking the engine apart?

Got it all together last night then.... Last thing I expected... The fuel pump wasn't working

So threw another one in this morning got it fired up

Slightly adjusted timing and good to go:-D

All in all it was a Pretty simple swap.... I am using the turbo intake to turbo maf in a n/a airbox
And N/a exhaust
