william: it would appear we are building in the background huh ;)

not building in the background. im rarely on this site. im on celicasupra.com forums all day. im the king post ho there. lol. anyhow, im not building yet, still collecting parts. head is being p&p right now, new bronze valve guides on the way, new valve stem seals and 1mm os ss valves already here. compcam valve springs and cam regrinds will be soon. got a gt4082 turbo, ebay ss manifold, hks knockoff 50mm wastegate, 1uz tb for the ffi thats under construction, empty block ready to be machined, weisco pistons, th400 trans adaptor, and lots of other stuff. way too much to list. still need a fully counterweighted crank and eagle rods, arp main and head studs, machine work, bearings, another hks 1.2mm mhg, and the couple gaskets missing from the engine gasket set i have. then got to make oil lines and dp etc.. for the turbo, ugh, this shit is taking forever and costing a fortune, and i cant make money fast enough. at least its unlimited ot at work. hehehe. speaking of which, im still at work and its 6am. i started this shift at 2pm yesterday. :aigo: going home soon for sure. lol, its my friday after all. 4day work weeks rule.

dude you are working way too much LOL

i feel like i was reading my own rebuild cept for the forgies and head work hehee... my ebay manifold at the mo clears everything.. fits real nice... just gotta see if it clears the strut fine
basically max comp housing is .60 to fit on there or you have runner issues

i'll take a pic of it more closely for clearances

yeah, i just punched out. about to leave now. 10hr shift plus 5 hrs ot and my 1hr non paid lunch. lol. forgot to mention ive got a crank scraper, modifying the pan to hold at least 2 more qts of oil. got 830's, 2nd walbro pump for dual feed, and gonna run it on a msns-e. should be able to run the ignition on the stock cps so wont have to fab a crank trigger on it. btw, found a way to route my i/c piping to the ffi without relocating the battery and keep my a/c. woot. anyway, im tired as hell and going home to get some sleep now. lol.

how does your SS manifold not give you any problems with the oil filter housing... mine does, i need like an oil relocation kit or something to make it work

you wouldnt happen to know how far i can possible grind the ridges down on the housing before acutally damaging it would you?

im not quite sure what you mean by the "locating pin" but mine doenst clear because the tube that hands down fromt he first runner sits right on them ridges, like i can get it on there but then i cant tight anything down because it pushes the manifold up a tad and then i cant get the bolts in straight if that makes sense
