I got lucky! The guy just did a JDM swap and coudn't figure out why it ran like shit. I picked it up for $2000.00 and it had a Greddy ProspecII EBC, a HKS FCD, 3"Coolease Downpipe, 3" exaust all the way back, nice (Apexi??) coffe can tip, Blitz BOV, Walbro 225 fuel pump, Triple pods with Autometer guages, and low miles engine, and tranny. Its a 91 turbo targa auto. The A/C even works! No rust either.

I'm not just looking at NAs, there is literally one turbo Supra under ten grand for sale within 200mi of me (at least listed on the web, I know there aren't any in my county or in any dealerships 30 miles north up the highway, either), and it's seven grand. Admittedly, it is nice, but it's almost two grand over what a bank would loan for it.
I didn't even think you could get loans for these cars. If so I wouldv'e started off with a lot better one but I still love mine.
Never, EVER get a loan for a car - save up money for it. If you cant save it, you cant afford it.
Not true. Take for example my situation, I could afford up to $150 in car payments a month, or I could save a little under 200 a month. Car loan vs waiting almost another whole year. And after that whole year I could maybe afford a shitty NA. Supras are very rare in my area.
I hate all forms of finance and credit - i think its a bad idea to spend money you dont have. Never a borrower or a lender be.

Hunting good cheap supras is like finding diamonds. They are rare, but look hard and long enough and you will find one....
At this point I don't even really care if it's good. Cheap and decent are the main things, I can make it good =]

The tranny is going out, I'm burning oil, the headlights are FUBAR and almost useless and the body is rusting out. The car isn't worth any of the parts to fix it, it's literally totaled already, as new headlights alone run over the value of the car :thumbsdow
If shit starts breaking on a Supra, at least the car is worth the time and effort and $$ to fix it
