Well I got to thinking last night, and I want to hear it from everyone.

What I want to know is, what is it about the Supra you are addicted to?
I mean, let's face it, it's just a car. Some people might disagree, but listen here...

Last night I spent some time with an old buddy who is in love with LS1's. Not my taste, but it made me think, A LOT!

That being said, here are some examples... I almost feel like a kid over-obsessed with a band, or something.

I sleep, in my bed, in my mark 2 seats, EVERY NIGHT. All I ever think about at school is what I'm going to do for my Supra (Except AP Biology, in there I just stare out the window looking for a Supra to drive by). I have my room painted the color of my Supra, and I have pictures of various MkIII's hung up all over the wall. I have the Supra logo on my guitar, t-shirts, shoes and all over my school binders. Not including I use my old 5m block from my 83 as a nightstand. And sometimes I can't sleep unless I get a part I'm working on finished.

And every time I see a Supra passing by when I go somewhere, I act like I just saw f'ing Pamela Anderson.

What causes this obsession? And is yours as bad as mine?

Thanks guys, I could write a book about my Supra obsession but you probably have heard it all.

I agree with you, there is something about these cars.... But I cannot for the life of me explain why.

And like every time I hear the word "Supra" or my calculus teacher say "5M, 7M, or 1JZ" I freak out, but so far I've only heard 5M.

And when somebody talks down to your Supra and you back-it up like you're protecting your family member. Also, I'll catch myself making compressor surge noises and my step-dad looks at me like I'm Charles Manson. I thought when I was 13 the obsession would die when I actually got one, but I own 2 and it's getting worse.

But seriously, I'm not trying to be funny or anything, I'm just extremely obsessed with this one model of car. And I hate all other Toyotas with a passion (Besides the deuce)

And why are you not in school today by the way?

I'm obsessed. But not to the point where I was say a year ago. Now when I see a Supra I go over and talk to the guy, or when I see them in the parking lot I drive by it. I still look out the window at it imagining what mine could look like. Just trying to get new ideas for it. I don't think I will ever sell it. It'll be one of those cars I'll have forever. Lol.

My obsession started back in 2000, when my ex drove up in his 1984 Celica GT liftback. I thought it was the most ugly car on the planet, but as our relationship grew, so did my love for the car. I learned how to drive in it and experienced a lot of life in the 2.5 months we had the car (it ended up getting repossed due to a title loan not getting repaid). After that I found a 1984 Celica GTS with a 5 speed in it and got the basics down of driving stick. That car also met an unfortunate end.

Early 2001 is when I spotted my 1st Supra, sitting in a buy-here-pay-here car lot. It stood out from all the 80s and 90s domestic crapboxes with it's unique nose and instantly recognizable quarter glass. I first thought it was a Celica until I saw the nose and then the name on the badge. The mechanic that was working there pushed me into test driving it, and as soon as I fishtailed out of the parking lot, I fell in love.

I haven't looked back since. 9 Supras and 7 years later, I still love these cars to no end. I've slept in them numerous times, travelled across the country in them, destroyed them, rebuilt them, etc etc. These cars just feel like they fit me. Like putting on a 5 year old pair of jeans that still fit perfect. I am most comfortable in these cars. They're the right height, right length, the right everything for me.

As frustrated as I do get over things that happen, I never stay mad too long. I really can't see myself without one for too long. Right now my car is down for repair, and having to drive other cars I feel like I'm wearing someone elses shoes that are too big and clumsy. I hate it. Can't wait to drive my car again!

I'm not obsessed with my Supra anymore... mainly because I don't have it anymore, hah. I am however obsessed with my Supra hoodie. It's like a security blanket and always makes for fun times when I get out of my Z and people see the "Supra" logo.

I think a lot of you described a lot of points of my obsession. I havent rode in or driven an MKIII,so I can only say for the MKIV.. I love the body..Its smooth curves and passionate detail. I am a car lesbian, and this car has a body of a woman..Its seductive and sensual...Its how she handles under your hands..How she grips the corners and makes them straight... The power under your foot as you get her motor running..The way the steering wheel feels on your fingertips...The smell of the pure horsepower..The way she keeps taking to you to that point but never over it.. She keeps giving you that rush and keeps the excitement...How it stimulates all your senses..Makes your hair stand straight up...You yearn to drive her, yearn to touch her..Just the vary thought of her sitting in the garage drives you nuts..Its as much about the car as the experience. Owning a Supra is like having a fine woman.. Supras are pure sex...
Okay, with that being said, now you guys know why I dont date..LOL.. I have no time for men with owning 2 Supras..LOL

^That's right

Supras = sex. What's there to NOT be obsessed about? If you don't like sex, GTFO the planet. :D
