How easy would my 1JZGTE already swapped into a supra go into a SC300. I've seen the swap done but I'm still searching for how to. any information or sources appreciated :)

I wouldnt see why it would be hard to do.You pretty much have everything.

Is the SC your daily car?

I'd probably buy one with high miles and good body. but it'd be more of a project. The wiring harness is already lengthed from the swap, I've heard maybe a new driveshaft. I've looked on Lex forums but haven't found a whole lot...

you will need to wire the body plugs to work with the sc300 since its already wired for your supra. its not about extending its about the plugs going together or not and they wont.

is your car a manual or auto? (the supra)

the MK3 and SC300 have different body plugs and the transmission changes have been stated so it's not hard.

The Soarer also had a mechanical fan.

I hear that it is pretty easy to swap a Soarer 1jz into a SC300. A lot of the body plugs match right up if not all of them. Don't quote me on that though. Just what I remember hearing. Not to mention that Soarer 1jz's are a lot cheaper than the jza70 1jz's.

yeah its an extremely easy swap providing you have the soarer motor (and the GT extension rod and plate).. its not even respected anymore in my area because of how simple it is lol.. but theyre nice ass cars so I'd still own one.

local shop did one in a few hours. its easier than an SR swap IIRC with all the parts and thats pretty damn easy.

You need the R154 supra front half, the half that connects to the transmission.

I don't think you have to re-balance it.. its all stock?

i would do it, ubut they could just possibly say your center bearing is shot :biglaugh:

Oh, I didn't know that. Get yourself a soarer harness and it will make it a lot easier for you. I believe there is one for sale in the classifieds right now.

Good idea, concidering that you can sell your extended harness and more than cover the cost of the new harness.

Driftmotion has the clutch pedal assmbly they sell as a kit for the sc300. also, there are a shit load of body plugs. you are best off getting a soarer engine set witht he soarer 5 speed harness for the 1j and just repin the connectors i believe.
