You didn't ask him what year the SC300 was, early models don't even need the shifter extended... But yes, we can extend the Supra shifter.

what year did they need to be extended? 95+?

i kind of find it funny you guys didnt even read the links up there on how to extend it yourself Lol

^^ aaron what are you talking about? Every SC300 swap with a supra R154 needed to have the shifter location moved back. I have a soarer R154 with me now from an Early model soarer (internal shifter), and it is extended with a swan neck shifter.

this as true of what I've seen so far.. all soarer R154 trans are the same utilizing the GT extension rod and plate.

yeah. hella nice. I also noticed that although people say the soarer swap is easier to do, I noticed that SC300s with 1JZs seem to sell for more than supras with 1JZs. But hell, I almost woould buy anything right now cuz im so anxious to start. the JZ is ready to come out but i dont have an engine stand so its staying in till i get the shell.

theres mid 90's SC's going for 3-3.5k that are perfect, usually just moderate mileage.. 120-150k its cool that theyre that cheap but honestly i see it becoming much more popular and losing some of its rarity, its picked up alot lately do to how easy the 1J and 2J swaps are.

It's a good looking car and is worth the money for sure though.
