Nope not running :nono: waiting on a welder to finish up the pipping for the intercooler and the exhaust. Im still gona use the stock intake manifold but if this cars still down in the next month or so ill by Rons FFIM.

I'll probly get the Fuel pump in either today or tomarrow it seems like a pain on this car.

Fuel pump isnt too hard, just easier if the tank is empty or near empty, that sloshing gas in there makes it wobbly...

i've been thinking about getting a JDM engine , i know that just like you did i'm gonna have to tear it down and take it to a machine shop before it runs, i was just wondering how much did you spend having your motor cleaned up?

Thats always a good idea 89Sup... It always amazes me when people buy those motors and just "trust" that they're good and throw them in... There is a guy that lives in my town that was gunna get me to help him with his JDM motor, but he went to basic training before we could get started... But he put his JDM motor in and it wont start... Its too bad, couldve saved this big head ache if he had taken the proper steps...

looks nice dan-good job with the fabbing. Reign, this was my first JDM motor that is in Dans car-i pulled it out because it had a case of rod knock, but it was in decent shape. From what I understand Dan, you only had to cut the crank ten thousanths to get it right, correct?

werewolves182 that is a custom down pipe you can get the flange off of ebay and the pipping itself came from summit racing.

Murd I think doing blue turn signals would be going a little bit to far for me something diffrent may happen to my rims soon.

I also forgot to mention that the coldside was hitting the runners of the manifold. So we used a flange from my old t4 manifold as a spacer as you can tell it fits well now.

Did you have the motor out? *didnt look back through the thread* I know my starter WAS good before I took it out, Im sure it still is, but, Im going to definately buy a new starter before I put the motor back in... I know from experience how big a pain in the ass it is to swap in a new one when the motor is in... Sorry to hear Dan, but its coming along... Congrats on the progress, Im sure you'll be running before me, lol...

I used the starter from my n/a and it worked fine before and on the first page I have pics of the new oil pump I just need to stop cutting corners and buy everthing new.

The JDM motor was just something to rebuild

One reason my build is taking longer than expected is because I dont want to cut any corners, so if I have to wait to save to get the parts I want, I will, and have... Atleast its something relatively easy to replace and not too costly... You'll get it knocked out man...
