I still think you will get me but with the 560cc injectors i shouldn't hit fuel cut.

I've read a couple people have been able to run 22psi with a big turbo and not hit fuel cut

The size of the injector does not control Hz from the airflow meter.

do engines really have break in periods? if that's the case, brand new cars straight from the factory with 0 miles? why don't they break it in or provide new buyers with "break in" procedures. just curious

The engine is started before it is delivered. That is the most critical part. And the PDI involves a drive before the owner gets it.

440's seem small for that big of a turbo on the 1JZGTE.

i want 550's but don't want to deal with wiring in the resistor and also no money to get them at this time. for now the 440's (under the tune) are at a safe duty cycle, so they're not being over worked and not running lean it's just perfect right now. plus it's better that running the stock 370's. ultimate plan (tax season hopefully) start planning for proefi and upgrade injectors while i'm at it.

George, just wire in inline resistors. That's how Dustin did it on his
2jzgte. Instead of running wiring to a resistor box and all that stuff.

Resistors are like 20 bucks for all of them and super clean. Wire it by the ECU. Easier to get to.

stopping by PSI monday to make sure everything including the tune is set for sunday. still working on ideas/ way to get better wheels than these sawblades. he'll get me off the line no doubt, but if i'm losing tranction switching from first to second and second to third he'll walk away no problem and the race is pointless. i want to make this race as good as possible. worse case scenario maybe Miguel can lend me his Mk4 rears????

We were gonna make a drive to phoenix and back to get some miles on the turbo do you not think it can be broken in before Sunday?

Is it just a matter of getting the miles on the turbo?

Yups i knew that maybe i should have said Lexus AFM/550's mod instead.

But from what i've seen most people get around 20psi depending on the tune.

I know that i use to runn 14psi on a stock AFM and Injectors (Stock Turbo) with a SAFC as soon as i took off the SAFC i would hit fuel cut at 10psi

I think i will have the same issue I don't exactly have good tires George lol. I was think the turbo Lag would help you with traction

Jorge, my MKIV tires won't help you much. They have less tread than your sawblades. I say you guys race with what you have. You don't drive around town on slicks so forget racing on them. That's what will make this a good race, whenever it happens. The winner will be whoever can control their car and get traction faster.

We don't share EVERYTHING, unless they want too. wink wink
