I also had a 2000 Ninja EX-500 for the wife and it was still very quick. But, I could see his supra beating that especially with that Holset turbo. There is a huge difference between the EX-500 and the ZX6R. I now ride a 2006 CBR 600RR and that thing hauls some ass. I think like 109HP and dry weight is like 370.

So, if it was a 500, good kill.

My Honda NSR250 puts out 60hp. With bigger jets for the carbs, better air filter or run open box, exhaust, ecu race tune with other things done would put out over 80-120 hp and the bike weighed like 200 lbs.
Other guys have made it alot faster.

The power to weight ratio on this bike is amazing..same goes for the honda NSR500. In stock form these bikes do 0-60mph in 4 seconds.

These bikes were only built for the Japanese market and were tagged "Suicide Machines"

Amazing bikes..chick magnets too.
Too bad they are illegal in USA, although a few guys have brought it over.

I miss my bike...

Cheers,
Roy

Hey Roy (aka tte)

Don't mean to hijack but....Got any pics of the NSR 250? Do you still have it? I'd love to see that. I miss my last ZX-6.

It does take skill to ride a bike to its full potential. I know for a fact i could not push my r6 around the track as well as a pro rider. I also do know, i am average to above average rider, and it does take skill to know how to ride. For instance, rev range, powerband, launching etc. My r6 with a pro rider on it ran a 10 sec 1/4. My best i could muster was a 11.2. Also, bikes arent exactly quick off the line, you have to worry about wheelying, or bogging out. Im looking at my time slip now, and my best was a 2.0 sec 60 foot with a .536 reaction time.

i win! woot!
If you raced and you won, then yeah you win fair and square without grey area of course. Definately not trying to take that away from you.

We're all just speculating about what could have/might have/should have happened.

I've beaten cars I don't think I should have before too. There's way too many variables to accurately bench race any race. Anything can happen.

I dont have my NSR250 anymore.
That was my first bike...the one I learnt on...My friends thought I was crazy buying a fast bike to learn. Because of this bike I felt in love with bikes.
All aluminum...light weight and very fast.

I dont have any pics of it with me here but here is a link

http://poser.nsr-world.com/

I am thinking of getting one imported from Australia or New Zealand.

Roy

any 2-stroke sportbike is insane. even a 125 can get you into WAY more trouble than you'd ever think possible.

NSR500 was never offered for sale as far as I know, but ya, an NSR500 can hit 200mph on race fuel without issue, and spin the wheel thru 5 gears, wheely in all 6 without any clutch action... complete insanity.
