Bah damn jelly bean stock mk4. Seriously though... if you can afford an mk4 with 50k miles on it, in PRISTINE condition and the insurance on it...

alright i'm watching it now, the end of the show. and i kinda agree with everything they did EXCEPT that last mod. one of those air filters thats supposed to add a vortex in the air stream, kinda sounds like a fancy air restriction to me.
As air travels through a tube it naturally rotates in a circle..So I guess that just helps it get the rotation started... but i dunno...

it still sounds a bit od to me unless they force a roctaion of the air before the turbo that is in the opsite direction the turbo spins but still even then i dont think it would make much of a difference

For me, if you are going to do a show like that, the modification damn well better be something more than i can do in my garage with basic hand tools. No automotive show will ever touch overhaulin IMO. I watched the first 40 min or so until they made bolting up an mk4 specific catback seem like they were trying to fit a jumbo jet engine into a corolla. :yawn:

stereo, subs, amp, race seats, exeddy twin disk, 4" cat back, removed the twins and installed turbonetics single, aem standalone, IC and pipes, injectors, dual fuel pumps, tires and wheels, doo luck body kit, HID's, boost gauge, custom dash gauges..

Hah my friends uncle owns a gas station and hes also the mechanic, He took his old Audi and put that vortech air spinner thing in, drove it for a week, then put a piece of tin foil with holes cut in it in its place. Said it had the same effect...Nothing, just a bad rustling sound when hed boost hard.
