My car was involved in a fire early this morning. 5 cars were totalled, the Supra and my mom's BMW were the only ones that made it out with moderate damage, because I got them out just in time...a few more mins and the Supra would have been burned to a bare frame.

The fire dept. said that it was arson...someone set the fire. This same thing happened about two years ago, and our Jetta was totalled.

Here are the pics. Anyone have replacment parts???

Sorry to hear it Johnathan. Is that a late 60's mustang in that second picture? :(

Yes, It was a restored 67' I believe.

This may be a dumb question, but where did the fire take place?

Our cars were parked accross from the three burning ones, in the EMPTY garage to the right of the minivan and Camry.

Whats up with the lights Johnny! Is that from scortching or what?

Yep, the flames were so intense, that the lenses started to fizz and bubble, almost like a can of coke or styrofoam. (It was almost 20 feet away from the flames). Another few mins in exposure to the flames, and it would have looked like the back of that blue camry.

I hate arson people, they need to be hung from a tree by thier ball sack and bruned alive.

I couldn't agree more, especially since this is the second time this has happened...needless to say...the car isn't going to be parked back there for a while.

The arsonist is likely living in your neighborhood, and was standing around watching the hose draggers do their thing. (They love fire, and they can't help but watch the fire, and the cleanup and the leftover carnage etc.)

Just watch for who ever is there, but should not have any reason to be there.... IE someone who does not own a car parked there. You'll still get lookieloo's, but they come and go and don't hang around very long. Look for the person who was there when the hose draggers arrived, and stayed till the insurance adjusters roll into town.

My guess is someone who lives inside of a few blocks from you, not in your complex, but possibly might have a house that backs up to it, and they don't like where you live, but tolerate it. If there has been two fires in the same location in a few years, I'd look for patterns of conflict between neighbors. (One of them happens to be an arsonist.)

Just my opinion. :)
