MA70Supra88, dude, don't put your cat on, you'll rape like 10hp or more. Get on ebay and buy a Magnaflow Resonator, It'll make it sound a TON better, and keep the same good performance. They're designed to take out all the crap in the exhaust sound and make it low, deep and pretty loud, Watch the videos of how mine sounds now.

The main problem is that the test pipe is a little bit shorter than the stock cat, so the exhaust is pulled up against the car and vibrates against it. I'll miss the slight power increase, but it wasn't anything drastic.

it shouldn't smell if u seal up the exhaust up really well. The only time i ever smell it is if i run it really hard then come to fast stop and the cloud of crap blows by the car, LOL, it smells like ass, but that doesn't happen very often, but if u take a sniff or put your face right in front of the exhaust your gonna feel high for an hour and your eyes are gonna burn, lol. Maybe my cat was serverly clogged because with it on i barely pulled away from an svt focus, lol, and with the test pipe i dog walked his ass by 5 cars atleast, this was on my old 120k spun rod bearing, screwed up acis that didn't work and a quart of oil every 100miles.

MA70Supra88, the magnaflow resonator would take care of the test pipe being to short if u took it to a shop, i had a shop weld up my resonator for $20.

I think that by reading these I am going to be happy with the OBX header that I just bought. The main reason I bought though was because my stock header had a crack in it almost all the way around where it collects into a 2 to 1 pipe. I've been running a 2.5" Pacesetter catback with a test pipe for the past 5 months. I'm hoping that the new header will fix the raspy metallic pigning sound the exhaust had been macking after I put on the test pipe. Allthough that was probably mostly due to the cracked header. But from what I've read and heard here I think that I will be happy with the results.

no, it's still gonna sounds really ricy and poppy, your gonna be pissed just like i was. There's a pretty big difference in torque and at high rpm, and it sounds good ONLY if u get a resonator for your exhaust, Get a Magnaflow resonator, get it on ebay.... it will make ur exhaust sound like this...this is mine... with obx header.. your gonna have a hell of a time installing it, theres a few mods u have to do to it... get it welded where the 2 peices connect, because it WILL leak, then get an o2 bung for the o2 sensor at the bottom of the header... and the flange needs to be grinded on the pipe under the Distributer, or it won't fit... i heat wrapped that pipe as well so i didn't melt my distributer.....
