Yeah, Id like to see that. Ive seen a couple of twincharged setups in MK1 Mr2's. The SC needs to feed the turbo because the SC pumps air(roots) while a turbo(centrifugal) builds air pressure. So the SC pumps air into the turbo, causing it to spool faster, while also providing small boost until the turbo spools to its boost limit. It also helps on decel-to-accel transition- you dont have to wait for boost to build again once youve fallen out of it- so its great for time attack and auto-x.

There's a damn good reason race cars are allowed to mix NO2 and SC or Turbo, but no one is allowed to twincharge.

I'm working on my twincharged setup as we speak. Not on a 7M but a 1jz.

Eaton M62 Supercharger
T04R Garrett Turbo
PowerFC Engine Management

This weekend I moved the Alternator to drivers side to make room for the s/c.
Took a little more time then I had hoped. So next weekend will mount the s/c.
I will post pictures when all I get it all done. Hoping for the low end torque of a s/c with the high end hp with my turbo. In theory it should work :dunno:

There probably a better way but trying to do it a little different. plus I love this kinda shit. Fabbing up mounts and doing it all my way whether it works or not.

don't use the m62, i run one of those on my 2.0 cobalt. there are massive tuning issues with the twincharge kits on the cobalt's with those. get rid of that an get an m90 off of a gtp. the m62 will simply not have the volume needed for a 3.0 motor.

i know they said it is for up to 4L engines, but it simply will not be good for this application. hell, we're running them on 2L engines and have maxed them out and have had to look at tvs and harrop blower swaps just to get over 300whp.

get on ebay, search for m90's you should be able to find one cheaper than an m62

Awesome work. I didn't read through the whole thread but are you running compound boost or bypass setup? I've been planning to do this with my 2JZ-GTE expect with an M112.

Looks good though you have it setup exactly as I would, but I have a few more tricks and insanity.

wat kind of power do you think you could get from just a supercharger with a small pulley alone? anyone?

that car looks sick twincharged

would like to see a dyno on just the blower :love: Could/should make 240 rwhp or so. and a bunch of torque. Depending on the size of the pulley and all that fun stuff

Lee_MA61 - He was running it compound boost.

He has switched to a 2JZ and is working on twincharging it right now. I'll try to get some pictures for you all to see.
