When I dynoed my car a long time ago I put down just over 300rwhp at 12psi. A few months later I bought a wide band and SAFC-II. I tuned it for 12-12.4 a/f ratio and I have my ignition bumped up to 12 degrees and I run my stock ct26 at 15psi .... and I have been doing so for 2+ years. Its not the best thing to do ….. But oh well.

Over the summer I ran against my friend with an upgraded ct26 and he just laid down 333rwhp and I was actually a tab bit faster than him at my 15psi. However in his defense his car was not operating at 100% he was limited to 13psi, because of fuel cut issues which was because he refused to drill the lex afm adjustment screw and possibly a small boost leak. But he still laid down 333rwhp and got beat by me.

Yea I noticed the boost falling off …..

Still, no.

The electronics are identical, but it lets in more unmetered air. When my AFM went out I bought a lexus one and have been running the electronics from the lexus in my stock AFM body until I get injectors.

Agreed. Unless you have some other tuning device, and have tuned it to add more fuel in some way, then running the larger AFM will make you run 25% leaner than stock.

25% leaner than stock is more than enough to melt the pistons in most of our cars.

well im guessing it has 550s then cause the previous owner drove the car for six months like this and besides the turbo problem the car runs fine for throwing some codes cant read the part number on the injectors without taking them out any easy way to do this?

guessing =$$$ and you could be on borrowed time.

you should be able to get a hold of one and rotate it to read the # while its on the car.

First thing you should always assume about used cars...that the previous owner was incompetant and didn't know what they where doing (unless you know otherwise). Sounds shitty, but it's the truth...

Depends on the year, pre-89's had holders to stop the injectors from rotating.

the wiring to the injectors looks intact(no adapters) so they are either stock, venom(hope not) or denso nippon, probly stock tho. No money for injectors now, this cars a money pit i need a wiring harness an egr, i just had the turbo rebuilt i need an exhuast. I wish i could kick the previous owners ass but he was like 6' 6" so.......

start upgrading. dp, fp, ic, etc etc. easy way is manual boost controller, but more boost is not the answer if the entire system as a whole isnt up to par and able to handle it.
