nah not always.... go to autozone or equivalent you can get one and use it in the parkinglot.... most places like that haveone you can borrow

alright i had a chance today and tightened up my ic pipes some of them really needed to be tightened up... i hope that is all it was
whats the outcome? did u do a knocksensor rewire? Im having the same richness issue where i cant for the life of me find out why and have done everything to figure it out. I have a maft pro aswell no absolutly no excuses for afm anymore. New fuel pump, Knock sensor rewire, checked over IC pipes 4 times over, new 02 sensor, new plugs, changed ECM, tried a new MAF sensor, new coil pack, new wires, new tps, checked turbo and turbo elbow, checked wastegate and actuator, checked leaks around manifolds, checked and changed intercooler, checked fpr, checked injectors. 20$ gas gives me 100kms And once i go into boost she goes rich as hell boggs and makes no power. Out of ideas as to the problem and i know that car through and through after working on several and rebuilding them for 8 years now. But im just stumped on this one. Nothing else i can think of can be wrong unless there was a crack in the head somewhere or something.
My bov leaking was causing that... if I blew through the side that faces the 3000 pipe, it came right out of the nipple 
idk what the problem ended up being with mine it just started running fine again.. i think it must have been all little things that caused it and after checking everything all is good... your sounds like it should be a new thread though... almost sounds like you need to get tuned since you have maft pro installed... the maft pro can act just like a safc..
