hey all i got this beaut for 800$, 58k miles...at first i thought it had a master clutch/slave cylinder prob(pedal sticking to floor)...but one day after messing with the slave cylinder it started to work...lmao..other than some rust in the spare tire well and a lil on the body. the bumpers/hood could use a repaint but thats the least of my troubles right now...

first start up in a good 7-12 months



my plans are to get the NA running well, and using it as a dd for a couple of months, then doing up the suspension(full coilover/sways)..then a 1jz..i plan on doing atleast 300 with the stock twins

in a couple of days i hope to be dremeling out all the rust and spraying some self etching primer down...

oh i got a quick question...when removing the TB, are there any gaskets there? like between the TB and mani? if so can i re-use??

and should i re tourqe the bolts down, or make sure there on there tight??

Coilovers/Sways/1jz will be a fun setup, although that's quite the plan I hope you've started saving $. 300 with stock twins will be easy.

There should be gaskets there, you shouldn't reuse them. You can buy new gaskets from Jeff Watson @ Champion Toyota 1-800-327-2087 just tell him what you need.

That engine looks pretty old, I'd be careful torquing anything down because the bolts are likely to snap.

58k looks nice on the tach , im jealous.

alright, these are the pics from yesterday...didnt get far, broke my only 12 mm bit, getting new ones tomorrow//

anyway here is how it stands right now

and these are the things i want to fix..

the last one is where its leaking, i need to pull up that striping and seal up the hole...more work to be done tomorrow when i get some new tools...

and no thats not paint on my fender..its from the rad, when i turned on the car the fluid dripped into the rad fan and is sprayed

You shouldn't reuse it cuz it will probably be trash. Of course your car does only have 58,000 miles on the chasis so you won't really know till you take it apart. You basically just want to avoid leaks and have a good seal, and that will be near impossible unless the gasket is like new.

Looks like you have a lot of little projects, but we've all been there before and you're definetely headed in the right direction.

ill end up getting a new gasket, not right away, but i will soon...

and once the little projects are done i can get with the big project

-Fix all moldings
-fix the leeks
-Spark plugs
-oil
-Trans fluid
-Rad. flush
-cleaning of the engine bay
-fixing the rust
-smoking the tails

Winter Projects
-Struts, Tien with the edfc (i believe thats what it is called)
-Sways
-beginning to save for the 1jz
-better rims(forgot the name, looking it up)

spring/summer
-getting the 1jz
-getting a R154
-getting a big single (dont know what turbo yet) with the supporting mods..

that car looks like it has a few more than 58k on her.... the odo looks alittle weird too.. did you do a carfaq or something to make sure it was indeed that low miles?

lol...well i found my old tools...so i got the rest of the TB off...now i need to find the spark plug socket...

idk the gasket looks ok to me..??

woops i broke a bold, damn...anyone have a spare TB bolt(top right)...The mother broke as soon as it started to get a little tight...i can vise grip it out so no worry's

k im starting on the interior re-wraping this week and prob finishing sometime at the end of next month, hopefully...i already stripped a door, it took me a good 5 minute...

the int. is going to be black leather with either really dark gray inserts or just all black...idk depends on the seats im getting...

little update, i got the rest of the interior out, other than the headliner...but all my parts are being stored in my car due to my mom flipping shit over all the car parts =]...my plans for now is to just get everything out and into my room, re-wrap the dash first and then just put that back in with the seats so i can have a functional car...

no more ecu lol

these pics are old, there isnt a carpet or and other panel you may see

i also de-tinted my rear window, there is going to be tint there again but not this dark

my plans for the int is all black with one piece that is going to be brushed aluminum, its the center of the int and i think i would set the rest off nicely...
ill draw up plans tomorrow for it...

i always liked what ferarri did with there shift bezel(?) so i want to make one for the supra

here is the ruff plans for it, still really ruff and im going to be working on the sketch more...i would haft to mod the shifter(the thicker part)
