ever thought of installing Quick Steer Box 2-1 Ratio Steering Quickner IMCA UMP ???

i'm just wondering how it performs on the road
because on the track i know it kick's ass, but on the road ???

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I wondering it would be too much for the street. It doesn't sound that outrageous but I think you'd have to drive it to know.

Has anyone got any experience with these?

I bet it would be awesome for a drift set-up.

As far as turning the wheel, how bad could it be with power-steering?

Easy to install? Uninstall?

they make other ratios, I wouldn't run a 2:1 though...

and as far as i know its easy to install, some fabrication required here's the site they are installing a similar one http://www.circletrack.com/howto/4627_quick_steer_install/

as far as drift, it would be perfect
but i also want to drive the car on the road as a dd
im going to do it on mine, unless someone know its not safe to drive it on a road, but im going for it.

I'd love to drive a car with one in it just to see how it feels, but I have no first-hand experience with them.

2 to 1 wouldn't help as much as I think??? The steering wheel would take half as many turns lock to lock. Am I missing some detail here?

Also, I don't think it would affect the p/steering to the point where it would be difficult to turn the wheel. Possibly it may be a little harder to turn the wheel when parked or parking, but once you get rolling say 3mph I doubt it would be very noticable.
