So as i start with Piecing together a T4 turbo kit ive decided on stages. Ill start off With standalone and then ill work from there. As i piece together the manifold and WG and softlines and all, ill be upgrading the car. Think IC and hardpipes, Fuel system.
One of the first mods is an Exhaust. This is obvious. But the Ct-26 will stay on for a while untill i have everything ready for the new tubo, so What i want to ask, Can i Buy a ct26 downpipe and later accomindate it o a t4 Vband style? Granted anything is possible to make, would it be fairly easy to 'hack' off the flange for the ct26 and convert it to vband? Is there a thinkness of tube or greater that should be avoided for a vband?
Im not wanting to purchase parts ill just have to sell again for a different style part. Id rather do it right the first time. Rather, what are some of the things i should need to look out for, or keep an eye on when making a V-band downpipe?
