its a mitsubishi motor..and they are more reliable your average 7m
Fact check, I'm not really sure, the only good info I'm coming up with is from Wikipedia, but it looks like the engine as actually based loosely off the K-car engines with "similar" head designs to the Orion and Sirius Mitsubishi engines.
However in 05 they were supposed to be phased out for engines designed jointly by DCX, Mitsu, & Hyundai. Iono if that happened or not.
Either way, I've never thought of Mitsubishi as particularly stellar cars either, so....

Why does everyone say wing and how it's over the wrong wheels...
mkIII with a wing, how exactly does that help? Who drives fast enough for it to make a difference?
IMO, The worste part about the Neon wing is having it in the rear view mirror.
This will be just like people and mkIV's, they can't afford one so they'll bag on it.
2 points on the wing:
1. You're right, you never will drive fast enough for it to make a difference. On the SRT-4 its huge to make a statement, which happens to be very boy-racer esque. If you WERE to drive fast enough for it to matter on the Neo...I mean SRT-4, then it would not be helping a whole lot, it would need a good chin spoiler as well.
2. I've never driven fast enough to think I need it, but I have nothing against wings, its just the idea that its putting the downforce on the back wheels, which are really just there to support your car if you have FWD, so its kinda pointless. Also, I have no trouble with wings on a FWD car if they're not SO huge and attention-drawing.
I don't bag on MkIV's, I love them, and if I could afford one I'd get it.
However, I could afford an SRT-4, but like I said, would not be caught dead in it.
