Right on man. A word of advice for you. Get organized when you begin to take things apart. Such as labeling parts when they are off the car. It will make things go smoother and probably save you some time.

Thanks dude, yeah I'm going to take my time with things and be as organized as possible as I've learnt from the past that it makes reassembly much smoother!

yeah mate, exciting times ahead, if i can managed to stay motivated haha. I havent lined up a motor as of yet but im on the look out for something stock with relatively low kms and probably no turbos. I'm not planning on going too crazy with the motor but will do the head gasket and all seals, electric water pump and new oil pump and probably go with some 264 or 272 cams and springs. For the power i'm aiming for port and polish and so forth isnt really necessary.

Good luck man! Haltech PS2K here and loving it!

I would definately go bigger than a 35R, power bug hits hard and sucks if you regret doing it differently. Just something to think about.

Cant wait to see how things unfold! Subscribed (again:))

thanks Sam, good to hear the Haltech is doing well too. Supposedly they have really got their act together as a company with their new products. I need to talk to my tuner about turbo selection before I make a decision but since its a track orientated car, more power is great but I also want to keep traction in mind!

Gorgeous car! Think I might have to dye my carpet too after looking at that. Came out great and there is just way too much gray in there right now lol

Hey Simon,

Just a warning about the adjustable UPCs ,many have tried to fabricate them for one of the most popular double wish cars (Mazda Miata) and the result is that sooner or later when loaded with slicks the arms will bend (see here and here). I'm not saying that Beech performance arms will bend like that ,but knowing that these are not tested on any serous track car ,this is something to keep an eye on.

Thanks for that info Alex, I will definitely keep an eye on that - quite worrysome. Although, the beech arms look a lot sturdier with larger diameter steel than what's in those pics. The fact that no one has really pioneered these arms on the track yet does concern me as im not the pioneering type :p. I prefer to stick to what I know works. Are you still using Beech's lower rear arms on your car? Did you end up fitting those poly bushes on the LCAs?

thanks man, although I have taken a bit of a different direction with this car lately. I have started a new thread for build/discussion here:

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?159896-JZA70-Time-Attack-Track-and-Street

There arent many pics in there currently because I havent had the car for 18 months but I am picking it up and driving it home from the workshop on tuesday in running order (still with 1JZ) before I continue with my suspension modifications. Hopefully ill get it out to a track event before the end of the year!
