First thing is to find out if you're off by a constant amount... ie always reading -10MPH than actual or if you're low by a percentage. If you're low by a set amount just pull and remount the needle in the right orientation. If you're low by a percentage, you adjust it using the armature on the gauge assembly.
It's cake, but it takes a little patience.
Pull the cluster, remove the lens, unmount the speedo from the main shell. Then drive and compare your speed to a known good reference. GPS is the most common suggestion. Note the difference, adjust the armature and go again. The fun part is, the faster you go when calibrating the closer you can get to being right on the mark.
