There are 2 cables one short one long

The short one can be checked under the car the long one goes to the back of the gauge cluster and is a bitch to get to (check the short one first) ;)

Make sure its not badly damaged or frayed looking. You can actually remove the short one and make sure its turns correctly inside.

Small aside, but your spelling got better in the last 2 posts... keep that up, and we'll be happy to help you!

You are allowed to capitalize some of your letters, though ;)

I'd check the cable at the tranny, as it is easy to get to. See if you can spin the internal cable by hand - if so, have someone see if it is moving on the speedometer. I had my speedometer die, when the damn internal plastic gear that drives the cable itself decided to stop working (the inside of the teeth were GONE)

I wondered that once upon a time as well, and all I remember is that something is loose :1zhelp:
