I plan on upgrading to the SP61GT, but I see there is a BB version as well. Is it worth the extra $800, or will the regular version be just fine?

I'm not to sure, correct me if I'm wrong, but our cars spool a 61 relatively fast as it is. So I'd think it would b up to u if 800 or so sooner rpm spool time is worth $800.
Not necessary at all. These turbos spool up really fast. I don't think that it's worth the extra $800 for an 200-300 rpm spool faster. Get the Boss turbo anyways, it has been proven time and time again to be better. Get it from Suprasport, comp turbo or from Jtamulis. Either of them would make you a much better turbo than the SP61GT!!
I just bought the PT67dbb, but I did some research and found out that it is worth it. I doubt the 61 would need dbb and it's definately not worth $800.00. Hell, if you save the $800.00 you could probably have enough money to have it rebuilt twice. I don't know how much the sp61 cost, but I paid 1300.00 for my dbbpt67. Hopefully it's worth it. I'll know in about a week I guess. Good luck.

If you don't know Greg is the designer, manufacturer of ALL the BOSS turbo's and we have all fallen in love with the outcome of the Jr so far. It has done exactly what we wanted it to do and be!
