When my car was on the road I got into it a couple times with my dad in the car and he just said "ok, I get it, this things fast" and then I went back to cruising. He has owned 3 Supras so he had a good idea what he was getting into. Great video btw!

lol nice vid. I was laughing the whole time.

I let my dad drive my car to the store the other day and when he came back he said "wow, when that turbo kicks in its pretty quick." I just said ""haha yea."

when I was younger, If I went 5 over the limit my dad would start looking over at the speedo and giving me "the eye". My dad once got pulled over for going "too slow" on the highway. :nono: . My dad has never been in one of my fast cars.

Yep, pretty much the same here...

I wish my dad was into cars or even appreciated my affection for cars...

Heh, I had a similar thing happen to me. Long story short, I blew the 100 amp fuse and my dad went to get a new one before the store closed while I waited at the house. It took him a long time to come back. Apparently he went and got the fuse, replaced it, and took it for a spin. He walked in with a big grin and said "that turbo really pumps when you give it some gas".

When my brothers, my dad, and I took a road trip with my brother's RX8 and my Supra, we had some fun on the tollway. My older brother in his RX8 flew past me. I cautiously looked over at my dad who was sitting in the passenger seat and he said "go catch up." And then I blew past my brother's RX8 with my waste gate open :).

Back when I was real young (like 4-6 years old) my uncle scared the crap outta me by taking me for a spin around the neighborhood in his old modified stingray corvette. All I remember was not being able to see out of the car and being slung around in every direction. My parents said that when I was getting out of the car I looked like I had just seen a ghost :p.

Same here, I've taken my neighbors for rides, but my dads never even asked for a ride in the supra.

My neightbor has multiple vipers, hemi cudas, a prowler, and an SRT10. He took me for a hell ride a couple years ago. I need to take him for a ride. He has no idea my Supra has nearly double the RWHP as his Viper.

that video is fucking hilarious!

when i took my dad for a ride, i hit second and the ass end went all over the place, and he gos "ok!ok!ok!ok! thats good" then he told me, "wow, youll be running way faster than me" lol. This came from a long lasting smalk talk fued between us. Hes an old street racer. HEs even come out racing with us back when i was in highschool!!!!

Then one day i pulled up and my mom came out and she wanted a ride. I know she hates my car, and i figured if i gave her a full pull at 15psi, she would absoulty shit herself. So i gave it half throttle on 10psi and let the car make some noise, bov, wg. I think that kept her happy. I even went as far to tell her that the big turbo, was infact an exhaust restrictor. haha, i think she knew i was bs'ing, but i thought it was funny

my dad was kool when i got my supra.. he knew about em.. and he gave me the "talk" .. telling me that i should respect this car more than anything else because its really powerful and all.. i let him take it for a ride one day by himself.. he didnt like tha clutch but he said it was fast.. a little too fast for me... lol.. then one night i pulled in the driveway and the neighbor was outside talking to him.. and the neighbor asks why i drive my car so hard.. im like.. i dont.. its just the way the car is.. and he goes... that thing aint fast... with that little motor .... so i pop the hood.. show him the motor and the turbo.. and im like.. this aint no freakin honda.. and then my dad backs me up.. by dsaying.... if you think u have anything at all that will see this car on the road.. you've made a sad mistake.. there is no way in hell nothing u have over there in ur driveway is seeing this thing on the streets period... .i was on the floor dying:biglaugh: .. then the neighbor asked my dad if he was comfortable with me driving a car like this.. my dad responded " i trust him enough to let him buy it, so of course.."

my dad is the gotta-save-money-on-gas type of person...matter of fact, he didn't even want me to get a supra. It wasn't until I told him I wanted a sportbike that he decided the supra was a better choice.

....but I will get me a sportbike sooner or later!

Hey, nice vid! Come to think of it, I've never really boosted when my dad rides with me. It won't compare to yours but I'll take my dad for a ride....once I get it running right. ;)

Nice again, man! :bigthumb:

LOL this is like opposite of me and my dad.. he is usually the one to scare the shit out of me.. he used to be a toyota dealership mechanic and he'd beat the crap out of new turbo'd supras daily.. back in the 80's

my dad is an amazing driver.. he can take any car to its complete maximum without crashing.. he took my 90 hatchback ( i dont care what you say about honda, those things handled like crazy )

and basically i almost shit myself.

He also has a SICK 85' celica GTS with a complete suspension setup that cactus_mole here on the boards will verify it can pound the shit out of anything on mountain roads...

My dad got me into cars / bikes and now im stuck.. he's crazy though.. he should be some crazy f1 driver or something.. right now one of his builds is an OLD rambler with supra suspension / 7mgte powerplant/tranny... but thats all secret =)

My old man worried about me when I got my supra since it was only my second car and my first car was a bloody Tempo. So needless to say there is quite a power difference between a tempo and a JZA70. He's come out in it a few times with me and always gives me crap for boosting in town but I know hes only doing it cause he thinks he has to say that and really hes having a ton of fun. He loves my supra though and asked me to borrow it one day so he could drive it to work and show everyone!!! That was pretty cool.

Don't waste your time, Caleb. ;)
2 Nights ago, we randomly stumbled upon a group of bikes...
Long story short, Nate ended up pulling a newer 600RR out of the hole up to the top of 2nd gear. I've got it on video. :D .......Poor biker was SO frusterated that he was getting pulled on by a "car" in front of all his biker buddies. :)
