Yea, im definitely going to give Spec a call on monday. I bought it from Horsepowerfreaks.com so I wonder if they will want me to deal with them. We will see.

Edit - Just found this one the website:

LIMITED WARRANTY

S.P.E.C., Inc warrants all products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for normal use and service up to 120 days after retail purchase.

I bought it 10/7/05 but probably only put 5,000 or 7,000 miles on it since then.

UPDATE: No help from Spec. If its out of warranty, they don't care how it fails, its your problem. I told him exactly where it broke and he said, "that failure is most commonly from a missed shift..."

Oh well, I tried:cry:

My RPS has held up to some missed shifts, but it's dang unfriendly around town. (6 puck sprung hub, three pucks are sintered metal, three are carbon/composite.)

Is that a fidanza flywheel? I have one, and it appears to be the same as mine.

Hope to never break a strap, or worse, grenade the pressure plate!

The R154 trans and clutch is pretty stout, but everything can fail under the right, or wrong conditions, depending on how you look at it.

Just think, a Tilton is only about 3000 more than what we have...

I'm interested in the multi plate setup that Duane is having built...

Yea, its a Fidanza.

Thats what I liked about this Spec is that it held all the power I could throw at it, but still was very streetable. Its supposed to be rated at 520ft/lbs of torque.

It just seems that something that could happen so easily and frequently as a missed shift has the risk of blowing up a pressure plate every time it happens.

I will have to step it up though now since I will be shooting for more than 500HP for this build.
