but it has been proven that 2.5 flows BETTER for our cars then 3.0 it's on a thread here somewhere IJ even proved it.
i wouldn't question it on a ct26 setup, but with a rather large gt series turbo, then i wouldn't buy it...

The 2.5" vs 3.0" pipe is the same thing as we were talking about earlier in this thread. What you want is flow is as close as possible to critical velocity (300 ft/sec). Lower than this and you will get lag...higher than this and you get pressure drop.

The key is having a turbo that can produce the CFM to achieve this velocity in a 3" pipe and an intercooler that flows at that CFM. The TB would also need to be 3", otherwise it becomes a restriction.

Yet the 7MGE (some) owners think they can use a 3" exhaust on a stock displacement/RPM car and it will be usefull. Same rules apply.

:werd: Back when I was a noob to cars I had bought a stock 2G eclipse RS. I bought a 4-1 header, high-flow cat, and 3" exhaust (no plans on going turbo BTW). Man did that 3" exhaust kill the power on that car! It came with a silencer and I swear with the silencer on it felt like the car had 20 more HP. I kinda miss the way that car sounded though. That was the best sounding car I've ever owned....:3d_frown:

So you have the SupraSport lower pipe, but you are running the SpeedSource lower pipe? Gotcha.

I'm telling you, unless you want to spend big bucks for the larger Cartech even though they said it was too small for you, get the Large Spearco rep. from Driftmotion.
