If this is in the wrong section, please move it accordingly.

Its an 86.5 with some "minor" front end damage.

Here's the ad:

Should I even consider it? Provided the frame is straight and no bhg?

I figure new tires alone are worth the 500, and if the rest of the car is in half ass shape seems like i could part it out and make some money if I needed to.

If its rust free and bhg free I may store it til the summer when i can work on it constantly. :)

I bet i could talk him to 4 ;)

Well thats the thing, I have 600 bucks that's specifically for "extra" car funds.

So no, i dont have the money to fix it up immediately. I'd be junkyard searchin or ebayin' it up.

I guess I'm wondering if it'd even be worth having if I was only able to put a grand or so into it over the course of a year?

sure it can be, dont have to do it all at once. i got a 87 for 400.00 bad motor, needs paint and dash/door panels. re sealed another motor and gonna drop it in, repaint in summer, will be a nice daily driver (keep miles off the Tundra) just take your time btw, do you have another car?

Oh hell ya I have another car. I still have my trusty old 91 Accord for a DD. I've been comtemplating selling it and buying a nicer supra or buying a cheap beat up sup, and keeping the honda for daily driving.

keep the DD, and buy the Supra, and fix it up, im in the process of fixing the "daily driver" Supra, keeping miles and wear/tear off the Tundra THEN i can begin to redo my other Supra for a 1j, repaint etc etc etc.

Personally i feel that N/A's are FTL, save that cash and wait for something better. Turbos pop up more and more, so patience is key.

That's MY car!!!! WTF~!?

Just kidding. Although, it's probably got a few parts I could use. Or, if you decide to keep it I've probably got a few parts you could use. Either way if you decide to get it let me know. I think you'd at least make your money back if you part it out.

And I happen to like my FTL N/A quite a bit, thank you.

I say give him 450 so than you have a good amont of money for a clutch and than i would just drive that as a everyday driver till you could find a turbo swap or a nicer mark three.I say do it!!

It's like what I said the other day on here. If you plan on making big HP with the car, you might as well buy the 500.00 one becuase you would end up changing/replacing the same shit in a 500.00 car as you would a 2000.00. It's NA, so it's up to you. Can you say NA-T ;)?

NA-T would be sweet, but realistically, I'll be happy to get 200 hp to the wheels out of any 15-20 year old supra. :)

Plus i doubt I'll have the cash for an NA-T unitl I get my degree in 2009.
