Well, I found a clean white 92 with a factory sunroof. Car is currently a NA auto with blue interior.

I am going to migrate all of my parts from the red 2J build over to this one, including all of the grey interior. More pics to come, I am starting to pull parts off the 92 tomorrow.

The other build thread on my red 89 HT was moving very slowly but I was finally getting things in motion when I found this 92. I hope to make a lot of progress in the next couple of weeks on this one. I promise this thread will have updated pictures and status. I am 100% commited to finishing this project quickly.

I was never a big fan of white until I saw a white SC300 with black rims on it and dark tint. After that I was sold. I was looking for a black or grey one but when I found the 92 with the sunroof, I grabbed it.

Speaking of rims, here are the rims that will be going on the car.

18x8.5 in the front and 18x10 in the rears.

Eventually, I will get Volk GTC's but for now these will do. I have so much to spend elsewhere, I can't justify over $2500 on rims alone :(

This is the interior that will be migrated over with the exception that I am replacing the front seats with TTR seats.

The TTR Recaro seats are at the shop now. All seats, front and rear, are being redone in black with charcoal grey inserts. All door and rear panels will be black. I went by today and he had just gotten the "Recaro" back from the embrodier. I should have the seats back by the end of next week. I will have to take it back to him to redo the blue headliner and put new carpet in after I install the motor.

Shaftmasters > Jawsgear

I cant stand my one piece steel driveshaft from jaws gear...
If you contact shaftmasters they will explain why it sucks too.

The shift knob was taken off to put in Nashman's short shifter when that picture was taken. I bought the driveshaft used. The guy I bought it from didn't have any problems with it. If there is a problem, I will try the shaftmasters.

Well, my son Justin (JSNOW) and I got a lot done this weekend. We pulled most of the interior on Saturday and spent a good amount of time on the sunroof. The sunroof would barely open and close do to the grim and sludge in the tracks. After getting the headliner out :icon_evil, I spent about three hours cleaning and degreasing the tracks. I was really pleased with the post performance because the sunroof now opens and closes with ease. Unfortunately, I decided to check for leaks. I dumped a bucket of water on the roof and half of it came inside the car :3d_frown: By this time, it was dark and I had enough "fun" for one day.

Today, we started by pulling the entire sunroof out of the car. I found the drain tracks to be pretty nasty. I spent a couple of hours cleaning the sunroof carriage while my son pulled the dash. I won't be able to reinstall the sunroof until I get new gaskets from Toyota but I am confident the leak will be fixed. I also took an air compressor and ensured the four drain tubes weren't blocked with debris.

Later in the evening, we cleaning the inside of the car. The rear tire and hatch area was filled with aquarium rocks. They were everywhere, and I mean everywhere. The entire hatch area was stained a nasty green color from the 10,000 aquarium rocks combined with 16 years of nasty grim and stains. I don't know if they had a fish tank tip over in the back or a bag ripped open inside the car, but good grief.....what a mess!

Well, enough talking, here are the pics:

Naked, nice and bare :) Forgot to remove those mats before snapping the picture.

This looks 100% better than when I started. It had a little surface rust from the scratched paint and leaky hatch, but she is rock solid.

If you have never pulled the sunroof, it is a real pain. The carriage is pretty easy, but getting the headliner and all the molding out is a real pain.

This one came out real dark. It makes the interior look dirtier than it really is

Yeah, we got a lot done. The interior takes longer than the engine bay for me. I am glad the blue is gone for good. It no longer looks like a smurf exploded in the car. I just hope I can get my grey dash out of the 89 without causing any cracks.
