There has been a lot of smack on supraforums, here in houston... and just a bit here about my car not being what I said it was...

However, since my ignition problem resurfaced less than one week before texas.... Whatever.

I won first place in EVERYTHING I entered... but it wasn't because I had the best car... It was because you guys don't seem to want to participate in anything. NOBODY at all even entered class 2, and I wasn't going to... but since nobody was there I did anyhow. I was the only 7m car to dyno at all, and had to fight for the dyno time. I was also the only mk3 supra to enter the super mod class at all. Lack of participation from anyone else at all.

So, I just repped the entire 7m mk3 supra community with a BROKEN car that I drove 600 miles to get here. I still have to drive it home. There is no backup plan, no trailer and whatnot... I ran the car at 16 psi in the drags today, and did a 12.60 @110 short shifting at 5k rpm, and doing one wheel burnouts and launches because I toasted the diff on the first qualifying pass.

I even still raced the winner of the stock turbo class for mk3's just to give you guys a show, and rep the community. I did it for all of us, because nobody else would. So please, stop giving me so much crap about it...

I really didn't want to go out in front of a good portion of the supra owners around and make less power and run much slower than what I said I would. It was really embarassing, but I did it so at least some numbers would be out there.

You don't believe it would make more power? We've got vid of the dyno screen and letting out at 5k. But whatever... who cares.
Thank you...

/end aggravated rant

man - it sucks that you had a hard time. I would've loved to have been there - but coming from New Zealand is a bit of a hard ask :)

big up's for representing the 7M community - regardless of the result....

I hear you. Every year I read a thread about TX2K( ) and nothing impressive comes from the mkiii's. Wasn't there a "smack talk" thread here a while ago about who's going to be running and all that jazz?

Most of those guys on Supraforums are turds. I don't even think some of them believe that mk3's are actually supra's as well. They forgot that the mk3 was there before the mk4.

Excuses are lame. I'm proud of Chris and his hard work. We know the car isn't running to it's potential. We also came out with some other cars and were hoping for some more mk3 representation. It was just not meant to happen I guess. From our group so far we've had the following:

Gixxer's car had alternater problems & pc problems
Jay's car started blowing black smoke
Jugo's 92 car never got ready in time for a proper tune.
Thomas Bradley blew a tire, he hit the wall on the road course and needed a new exhuast.
Jugo's 89 boiled the power steering fluid on the road course and needed a new powersteering pump which went on saturday night at 11pm thanks Noah and BJ

I was plannning on making a good showing for the mk3 and it just didn't work out for me. Never the less it's good to be here with alot of my old friends and meeting new ones. Brian, Mike from Conneticut, and Aaron from driftmotion.

This was my frustration at Chicago too. You wonder why we get no respect from the MKIV crowd. I will admit that I gave you shit on your avatar, but it was all in good fun. I've been sitting here wishing I was in Texas with my car running properly, so I could be doing some of this with you. But, I've been here with half of what usually is posted, bored, cause most of everybody that is on here constantly is missing, and it's kinda quiet. Not only are you representing for the rest of us, you are the only one posting from there as well.

sorry you had a rough time, Ive only been around here a year or so and from the few people I know in person I hear only good things about you and your car... thats why I bought a turbo from you. If I didnt have a company to run Id be at every meet I could go to so youd have someone to beat. :)

SF in general is just full of idiots. There are decent MKIV owners in some places (like the admin of this site), you just can't look for them on SF, lol.

That's the reason most MKIII owners do not participate, believe it or not.

Congrats on the wins... I was wondering who did.

I guess it goes w/o saying that the money for the MKIII in the 10's didn't happen again this year?

SWEET! Good Job!

I haven't mentioned anything I might know yet, to allow that one guy a chance to post his own news. I'm sure he's more embarrassed than you. He didn't even dyno or get to run his car. But did you and that blue car get together on the way to Texas as planned?

You did a great job driving and you did everything you could to get it working right, you entered and won your events, and it was obvious that everybody who was there was having a great time! That's all that matters! :icon_wink
