Broke 50 flat on the 7th lap of that run with a 49.897. Then I changed my gearing a bit (I was having to go down to second around the first corner) and I pulled a 49.601.

This is with the 2.5GT Twin Turbo R '90

I really do this it's possible to break 50 with the Turbo A too. My best time with it I messed up on one of the corners, and I'm pretty sure if I hadn't I would have been under 50. Oh well, I got it with the 1JZ.

I used the stage 4 turbo. I actually bought them both and then looked at the power curves and decided the stage 4 didn't offer that much worse of a curve and had better power so I stuck with that one. [edit] Also, if you have your gearing right you'll be in the peak of the power band most the time [/edit]

[further edit] Just for kicks I decided to let the computer drive the car. It could only get it down to 52.738... [/further edit]

New time for the 2.5GT:
49.247

I feel the JZ might be able to break 49 with enough practice...

I let the computer drive and it kept going off the road if I made it "push"
Which is what I do most of the time too. lol
I got the same results, it would only get around 52-53

You guys are killing me, I couldn't break into the 49's and I gave up, watching a movie now.

49.511 is the best i got. Thats with stock gearing. Next Ill tamper with the gearing, suspension a bit more.
The car should be able to break 49's as it is now.
