Funny thing is I am pretty sure the fastest Mk3 on Sat was a 1J car. Correct me if I am wrong.

The only one I saw was a lime green one, with a 7M and CT upgrade. I wasn't there all day though. He ran 13.3@107 or close to that.

That's what they were saying about THIS year. :)

Hey, It's not my fault that we worked every weekend and week night after work to get the car going. When there are as many mods on a car taht has been gutted and built from literally the ground up, it takes a little time. Maybe we'll get some track time in before the end of the year. LOL:biglaugh:

I know how it goes. My own 89 didn't make the journey for the first time in the history of SILV. No worries. There's always next time. :)

I did a huge edit, starting on the first page. I uploaded to my web host that is back online. Otherwise I would not have wasted time with thumbnails.

I loaded them with dial up.

Thanks for all of the kind words and pictures.

This is a HUGE amount of work and I could not do this without a LOT of help. Just thought I'd add a few names here.

I am very proud to say that help comes from the entire community and all across the country.

Two guys that really help out with each year are James Noyes (MkIII from Colorado) and Chris Jensen (MkIII from Washington). These guys spend countless hours with me on the phone fixing my spelling and grammar for the information packets as well as keeping me in line when I have hair-braind ideas that just won't work. They help out in so many ways I can't even begin to list them here (I could but this post would be 20 pages). On top of all of this Chris was our official photographer this year (pictures coming soon I promise) and James herded Supras on the Scenic Drive while listening to people complain about "not going fast enough." James helped with registration and Chris helped with parking at the Show-and-Shine. I consider these guys to be my right and left hands in planning this event. They even come out days before the event, not to party but to help make sure everything is ready for the rest of you.

Steve Michael (MkIII from Arizona) has really helped out. He was instrumental in bringing the first Supra Poker Tournament to the schedule in 2005 and then improved the whole thing for 2006. Steve was also the brain behind the marks on the parking lot at the Show-and-Shine so the Supras didn't just look like they were in a parking lot. Steve has also been wheeling around the show lot helping park cars as the Supra masses fill the lot. All this and he even took the microphone during the Awards presentation when my voice decided to take a vacation somewhere other than Vegas.

Jim Coble (MkII from Las Vegas) has really been kicking @$$ coordinating the Dyno Open. He was joined this year by Bryan Trigilia (MkIII from Connecticut) and Eric Hansen (MkIV from Idaho) to coordinate the MkIII Smackdown and MkIV Invitational respecively.

Michelle Smith (MkIV from Washington) took on a VERY challenging role managing the official drags this year. Unfortunately it seemed that many people wanted to go out and break their cars at the regular drags and couldn't get fixed in time.

Eric Hamacher (MkII from Texas) brought out the entire family to help get the Supras registered at the Show-and-Shine.

Dave Koos (MkIII from Arizona) also helped out with the parking at the Show-and-Shine.

Finally, the one other person that puts in nearly as much time as I do on this event year after year is my wife Rebecca. Not only does she put up with my pacing on the phone, late nights working out the details, weeks on end where I come home from work only to go directly to my office and work late into the night, my stressed-out freak-outs, etc but she even makes me a killer "LOUD" shirt for me to wear each year (no... she didn't make the one with the parrots from the first page of this thread but if you saw the BRIGHT green shirt with the black collar she did make that one.

I could not manage this event without the help of these people and the support of the communtiy. Year after year you prove that SILV is not just "The Largest Supra Event on the Planet!" but also a Supra Tradition. We could not have gotten this far without you.

SILV has drawn visitors from all parts of the globe since at least 1999 and this year was no different. We were joined this year by a couple of people from France and England that came out for the event. We even had a couple join us on their holiday from England - they didn't even know about the event but came out to join us anyway (shh... don't tell the casino because that meant they weren't in there gambling).

Where do we go from here? Who knows. Even I don't know where this rollercoaster ride is going to end up.

Thanks again for all of your support. As always, if you have ideas or want to help out for the future please let me know. I am always open.
