My shifter has A LOT of play in it. It is 20 years old, though. In gear, there's a substantial amount of movement. Probably just a bushing or something. I assume that installing a short throw kit would replace any of the old, problem pieces, and make the shift shorter all in the process, which I am a fan of. The thing is, I want the shortest shift I can get, but... Just like everyone else, I wanna get away with it for as cheap as possible (while still buying a kit, not just shaving it down).

I found one on SupraSport
Is it any good? I've seen one on here that is a 50% shorter shift, but I have to send in my core.

it will be a short shifter...to you since you're throwing quite a bit farther than needed because the bushing and seat are worn...

marlin crawler FTW!

IMO short shifters are not good for this car. I have tried 2 types now and none are good (at least for my driving style) They are simply too short.

I just put the MarlinCrawler bushing and seat in my car and it made an awesome difference. For $16, it was worth it, made the shifter feel a hell of a lot better.

I don't really like short throw shifters or short(height) shifters either.

Stock is just fine and I can still shift plenty fast.
