I apologize everyone. Due to wastegate problems, the dyno numbers will be slightly delayed.

But keep those guesses coming! :)

You guys are sooo silly.....

I did get a few runs in; but, after seeing what the wastegate was doing, I called it quits. It just needs adjusting. I adjusted it a little bit tonight; but, she's not quite there. Once wastegate pressure is ~13psi. We're strapping her back down.

^I shortened the wastegate actuator rod.
The pivot length connected to the gate or the rod leading to the pivot? If the latter, that rod will translate motion/velocity the same regardless of it's length.

I shortened the length connected to the gate to add wastegate pressure. It was at 8psi and was not allowing full boost until ~4800 rpm.

This wastegate thing is a PAIN!! I've got it at 12.5 psi right now. I should have it where I want it with one more adjustment.

It's doing much better at this point; but, still not want I'm wanting out of this turbo. Just a bit laggy for my liking.

I don't know.....I'm toying with putting the 20g back on there......

In short, I'm looking at sometime this next week.

Beware of creep on the top end now Kenny, make sure you tell the dyno operator it's a potential issue so he can back out of it if needed.

That is definitely a concern. I'll tell the dyno operator about that for sure. After taking a few logs tonight, I'm going to leave it where it is. It's currently stable. Boost is coming on sooner; but, not like my former 20g. I'm just going to have to except this turbo for what it is I guess...

True, especially on pump gas. Isn't 16-17psi pushing it already?

Yep. The dyno operator (also a friend) told me that he doesn't recommend anything above 15psi on pump gas. So the plan is to tune it there and see how the car reacts with another pound or two. If gains are minimal and/or we see timing start to retard, we'll stop and settle it in at 15.

Then............my water/meth kit goes in! :)
