Mine did this when my distributer need replacing. It would start up and barely be on, when i gave mine gas i could hear more cylinder firing but it wouldnt die, but the rpms would be sub 500rpm's.I replace my distributer and wires and she fires up and purs like a kitten

I definitley think that these cars need new plug wires and dist. caps more often than the average auto. I put all of the afore stated on less than 5k miles ago and are currently going to replace them for this build.

Pull codes.

Mine did this one morning. I got a code 11 or 12. I checked my resistance through my plug wires. Bingo. Plug one wasnt workin. Replaced it and voila! Runs good.

I have the exact problem but i am not sure if this is the reason yaet because i am rebuilding right now.

But I found this sensor unpluged and the point on the harness was ruined by the fan.

So, it is a sensor or the coolant is not going to the throtle body.
