Just did a sequential shift light mod to my 88 Supra(7M-GE).
Installation is pretty straightforward, power, ground and tacho signal. Works as expected. Higher RPM, more LEDs light up. At shift point, all LEDs blink to indicate optimal shift point.
So far, really enjoy this mod. It helps me get a rough idea of current RPM without looking at cluster, thus stay more focused on driving. Also, when heel&toe, it helps precisely blip the throttle, preventing overshoot/undershoot. I am also looking for a better place/way to mount the shift light permanently.
What you guys think of this mod compared to a single shift? I found a lot of ppl installed single shift light, but the sequential/progressive shift light seem to be unpopular. Would like to hear and discuss.
