Well there's an obvious product issue with the fitting you pictured.
Having only 2 barbs and being slightly undersized is a big deal when it's size and barbs are the only thing holding the hose on!

As a side note, I'm going to try to mount my FC oil cooler in the bumper beam with a turbo-a duct. I tried the way you did, and thanks for the link, but I didn't like it there.

In the bumper beam should fit nicely. Thats where i wanted to put mine but no fabrication tools and no ducting made it near impossible.
That threads OLD! That was my first lesson to stop penny pinching so much.

Thanks Dok, I will update my build thread when I do this, but... it's so cramped and insanely busy looking with all that hose running all over the place.

I'm trying to do this clean and keep it looking nice, but it seems near impossible! I'll find a way, I'm sure, all the while trying to keep it on the (somewhat) cheap without losing quality...

Can't use that style of clamp on a pushlock fitting, the barb will slice into the hose causing a spectacular failure.

Hmm, Running This fitting and This Hose for my transmission lines with clamps. Should i reconsider that decision? No issues so yet but im not looking for them. The clamps are worm gear if it matters.

Same deal the Clamps will cause the barbs to slice into the hose....

Least you used the clamps initially and didn't puke trans fluid all over the place :) You should be able to put together a proper pushlok to male -an setup to replace those fittings without much issue, just a little more $$ probably...

well based upon your first post, the two barb fittings require a clamp? And the Three barb fittings do not?

If thats the case then im good, the barb to AN Fittings are two barb style.

NO with the correct hose NO clamp is required as the barb will still slice into the hose and create a fail point.....

Never noticed before but the 1/2NPT fitting only has 2 barbs on it and the tech said a high pressure clamp is required on these even though it's not mentioned on their site

This was what i had in question.

It's NOT a pushlock hose and fitting then.....

Pushlock standard is no clamps.

On some lines where I can't use actual pushlock hose I'll use a thin Cobra clamp between the barbs and if you really had to use a clamp I'd look at the wire clamps so the don't cut the hose.

Well its sold under the same "Twist-tite" name as the other fittings but it seems the two barb version is to be used with a clamp, This ofcourse depends greatly on the accuracy of the statement made by the summit tech. Im going to see if i can verify this threw them.

should the inside diameter of the hose twist-tite hose be smaller? Here is my reasoning. please correct me if i am wrong or i am a complete idiot.

1. according to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/An_thread

-an measures OD or hoses.

2. -10 an = 5/8 OD.

3. 5/8 OD= .625

4. ID<OD

5. ID of twist-tite hose = .625

6. OD = .797 with does not equal -10 an

7. There for ether i am confused or it should be smaller.
