If the compression is good across the boad then why bother with a rebuild? If the numbers are out of whack then sure, rebuild it. With the money you save on a rebuild you can upgrade something. Just retap and helicoil the head, valve job while it's out, adjust valve lash, new valve stem seals and call it a day.
