Can someone post a pic of their alternator installed with a Ron R ffi long runner style? I was looking at it the other day when putting it together, and I cant seem to figure out how to tighten the tension for the belt... Also, does the stock belt work, or will I need a different size?

Thanks,
Jake

Well speaking of the FFIM . When you install it has anyone just dropped the Alt. into the A/C compressor's old location I have removed mine and would like to put my Alt. down there . I think it would look much cleaner , also if I did locate it there could I use the factory a/c belt ?

You cant use the factory a/c belt, but it will look clean, and you can also lose the a/c idler on the timing cover, for even more CLEAN action.

You know I painted that thing and made it look all nice and shit, and then when I was putting my motor back together, I realized I didnt even need that thing anymore... hahaha

Db: that thing looks mammoth! But it does the job... Powder coat it, it'll look sweet!

LOL....sell it!

On a side note Jake.....you'll have to grind those timing cover bolts that held it on down about 1/4-3/8" because they bottom out. And I have bins of old toyota bolts and couldn't find any the right size, so I took the old ones to the grinder.

You know, I think I actually put the bolts in already, not the same ones, but I think I found ones that fit... Damn I cant remember now, I'll have to look when I get home...

I had to use a crow bar to bring the bottom of the alternator up. If it helps I didn't put the shim back on the ac bracket and the alternator tensioner will stay on after the alternator bolt is screwed back in.

Of I used the Dayco from advance auto.
