are you a certified welder? how much room for error is there when welding something as important as a cage?

i ask because ive got a mig but not certified. just wanted to know how solid/dependable welds usually are without formal training. i'd really like to take projects like this on but again, scared that i don't have the knowhow to do it.

yes i am, and there is a lot of room for error when welding something as important as a rollcage, but you dont have to be certified to take in a job this serious, the only thing you need is a good equipment and a lot of experience, whats make the diference? practice, practice, practice, and more practice, that will make the diference, i'll recomend you welders books, such as the ones from "hp books" are very expicit also read the instructions on your welding equipment, and the most important thing; safety always first too much safety is never enough, use the proper gear and start welding to master the parameters of your equipment and get experience in diferent metal thickness and welding technics!

good luck bro!

Are you saying you ARE a certified welder?

Not slamming you but they're some ugly ass welds if you are.
(uneven globby bad penetration and the surface rust won't be helping the integrity any, I've tested a steel cage unfortunately so have an idea how important it is to get it right)
