For those who have experience driving these, hard how is it to get used to?
Since North american roads are built for LHD cars, how hard is it to do the basic/not so basic maneveurs? Like passing and whatnot since you are on the other side of the car it must be hard to see...
There is a 180sx for cheap locally I wanna take a look at, so considering driving it...

I must admit - driving a RHD in a LHD country (France) was surprisingly easy to get used to. The only difficulty i ever had, was looking out whilst merging onto the motorways, and you adapt to that fairly easily. As for driving RHD - well, i just cant fathom how to use LHD cars, last time i tried, i went to open the door when i wanted to shift gear! Would be easier if you're used to an automatic though.

I don't find it too bad really. The biggest pain I've found (in the A70) is making right turns into traffic, surprisingly.

Overall though, it's really not a big deal at all IMO.

I still don't know, how the gears are in LHD... Are they positioned errm... like 1rst gear on the right and then 5th on the left?

Buy it! I got the chance to drive my friends R-32 Skyline around here in Maryland for a little bit. It was surprisingly easy. But as stated above those turns are kinda wierd/tricky, because you have to turn much sharper than it would feel like you need to when turning right and the opposite when turning left. Gears were a piece of cake, it felt natural.

Oh and in Canada it might not be as awkward/unusual but the looks I got when driving RHD down here were PRICELESS!!!

for faster shifts, wouldn't you want the shifter closer to your body? and the gears you go through most often, they're closer too.
of course then you're steering with your less dominant arm (most of the population)
And wtf you talking about, the shifter is the same distance apart... And its not like having your arm 2 inches further in one direction is going to change anything.

Yeah, that's true, but in reality, it's VERY similar either way once you get used to it. I'm still faster/more comfortable LHD, but driving RHD isn't uncomfortable, and if I did it more, it'd be just as nice.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Overall though, give me LHD in a LHD country any day of the week.

no poblems not even making lefts, just have to think actively where and when you gonna turn for instance if there is a big rig on the otherside stay furhter back so you have more of a viewing angle.

But you'd have to do that anyways with LHD... I have no problems.... Parking is super easy with the curb right beside you! No more scratching your rims! ;)

other then the thousands of times I've been asked is it hard it's great and no diff form LHD.

BTW i have had my Aristo RHD since Feb, only been drivign 3 months though. I guess it also helps that I've been in the UK most of the year
